In Japan, Honda introduced their latest WR-V generation known as Elevate. It is important to note that this mid-size SUV is manufactured at Honda’s Tapukara plant situated in Rajasthan and exported to Japan.

The first generation Honda WR-V was introduced in India and Brazil at the same time in March 2017 and was based on the Jazz premium hatchback. The second generation of Honda WR-V which made its debut in Indonesia last November, has not yet come to India.

Today, there are no compact SUVs being sold by the Japanese automaker but gossips about a new offering have always been flying around the internet. The introduction of Elevate has been well received by customers who can now purchase it together with Amaze and City sedans in India.

At the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024, scheduled to take place between January 12 and 14, Honda has officially announced that it will be showcasing the new WR-V (Elevate in India) Field Explorer concept.

HONDA Accord e:HEV Sports Line will accompany it. According to Honda, the concept is going to be the first vehicle with a “tough style” coordinated Honda genuine accessory exterior for an SUV. The company says it will follow Honda’s theme of exhibition referred to as “Honda DNA”.

The concept is intended by Honda to showcase its toughness of the new WR-V and its muscular presence thereon featuring a newly black finished grille, a new roof rack, blackened alloy wheels and more prominent black cladding all around. The window line and skid plate are also painted in black color.
